How we got  Started?

Mr. Forrest, over the past 12 years, has turned his academy into a place where kids can excel through his mentoring, which will enrich their lives to look outside of basketball for the future. He has recruited many coaches and mentors with his same philosophy. James has started Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter leagues around the Atlanta Metro areas at Grant Park, Bessie Branham Park, ML King Middle School, and Maynard Jackson High School. Starting this August, James will start his Summer/Fall league in Sandy Springs, Georgia at the Atlanta Jewish Academy for all kids in the metro area that can’t afford to play or have transportation. This great opportunity allows our underprivileged kids the chance to see a different side of the city they, otherwise, wouldn’t be allowed.

In the past 10 seasons, with the help of sponsors, we have been able to help 40 kids go to college; these colleges include: College of Charleston, Montreat College, Emmanuel College, LaBette Community College (Mo), App St, FAMU, UNC, Florida St, Georgia Southern, Oral Roberts, IPFW, Gardner-Webb, Miami of Ohio, New Hampshire, Auburn, Kennesaw St, Jacksonville St, Fort Valley St, Alabama, Albany St, Atlanta Metropolitan, Dalton St, Cleveland St, Oglethorpe University, Albany Tech, Savannah St, Georgia Tech, Georgetown, North Carolina AT&T, Charleston Southern, Miles College, Moreland St, Middle Tennessee St, Augusta College, IUPUI.
